  1. Our Commitment to Privacy
    Hindu Community and Cultural Center (‘HCCC’) Privacy Policy (the "Policy") was developed as an extension of our commitment to highest-quality of our religious services. The Policy is designed to assist you in understanding how we collect, use and safeguard the information you provide to us and to assist you in making informed decisions when using our website www.livermoretemple.org (“Site”). This Policy will be continuously assessed against new technologies, temple practices and the needs of our devotees.

  2. What Information Do We Collect?
    When you visit our Site you may provide us with two types of information: 1) information that you knowingly choose to disclose and which is collected on an individual basis; and 2) Site use information collected on an aggregate basis as you and others browse our Site.

  3. Individual Information You Choose to Provide
    If you choose to sign up as a HCCC devotee, you will be requested to provide your name and address. We also collect the additional ‘optional’ data as listed below to serve you better in providing additional devotee services.

    We will not provide this information to any third parties without first obtaining a written approval from you.   4. Credit Card numbers You Choose to Provide
    Hindu Community and Cultural Center uses reasonable precautions to protect the privacy of your credit card and other ordering information by utilizing a Secure Socket Layer ("SSL") connection. Accordingly, your credit card and other information, such as your name and address, are encrypted using the SSL connection. Your credit card number and credit card related information will not be stored in database. Majority of the web browsers support the use of an SSL connection, but if your browser does not support the use of an SSL connection or if you prefer not to send your credit card number over the Internet, you can send your donations by mail to Hindu Community and Cultural Center, 1232 Arrowhead Ave, Livermore, CA 94550 USA.     Broadly speaking, we use individual information for purposes of administering our temple activities, providing devotee services and making available other religious services to all our devotees. We may also use the information to provide special customized devotee services. Occasionally, we may also use the information we collect to notify you about important changes to our Site, new services and special devotee services we think you will find valuable. The lists used to send you information about the temple festivities and other related religious activities are developed and managed under standards of care designed to safeguard the security and privacy of all our devotees.

    We use Web site browser software tools such as cookies and Web server logs to gather information about our Site users' browsing activities, in order to constantly improve our Site and better serve our devotees. This information assists us to design and arrange our Web pages in the most user-friendly manner and to continually improve our Site to better meet the needs of existing and prospective customers and partners. Cookies help us collect important technical statistics. The information in the cookies lets us trace the paths followed by users to our Site as they move from one page to another. Web server logs allow us to count how many people visit our Site and evaluate our Site's visitor capacity.

    We will not provide any kind of data about devotee at our temple to any third parties; This information does include individual identifying data.

    We may disclose information when legally compelled to do so, in other words, when we, in good faith, believe that the law requires it or for the protection of our legal rights. Notwithstanding the foregoing and in compliance with applicable laws, Hindu Community and Cultural Center (1) cooperates fully with state, local, and federal officials in any investigation relating to any content (including personal or private electronic communications transmitted to Hindu Community and Cultural Center on or through this Internet site) or purported unlawful activities of any user and (2) takes reasonable measures to protect its proprietary rights. For the limited purposes of accomplishing such cooperation and measures and in compliance with applicable laws, Hindu Community and Cultural Center may be required to disclose personal information. In addition Hindu Community and Cultural Center may elect to electronically monitor the user submit areas and may disclose any Content, records, or electronic communication of any kind (i) to satisfy any law, regulation, or government request; (ii) if such disclosure is necessary or appropriate to operate Hindu Community and Cultural Center; or (iii) to protect the rights or property of Hindu Community and Cultural Center or others.
